The subject of the invention is a stable graphene-silica composite based on expanded graphite oxide and silica or silica xerogel, characterized in that it is a system consisting of flakes of graphene and silica, where each graphene flake is less than 2 μm. The subject of the invention is also a method of obtaining these composites.
